Another project in the Ring Building (located in Golden Triangle, Downtown D.C.) we worked hand in hand with the building, the tenant, and the designer to create this industrial space with in their desired budget. Stripping the space down to bare bones, we found a shared brick wall from the connection to the building next door. That brick wall happens to be a shared wall with a townhome style building, which at one point served as the vice presidential mansion. We worked to create the most open space possible, given the small size constraints. Angled walls and opened ceilings make this office feel far bigger than the 1,300-square-foot print. The final piece installed was the custom millwork that curves from the entry, leading clients into their space. They use this piece to display numerous awards, including an Emmy for video editing.
